• Itinerary overview

  Depart from Milford Sound and take a boat to Sandfly Point Pier. The trail stretches along the winding Arthur River, passing through dense rainforests until it reaches the Giant Gate Waterfall. Standing on a suspension bridge spanning the river is the best angle to appreciate this magnificent waterfall.

• Play time

  The entire journey takes 4.5 hours, departing from Milford Sound at 8:45 in the morning and returning around 1:15 in the afternoon
