It is not only a museum showcasing the history and culture of the Maori people, but also a war memorial reflecting the history of World War II. The first floor shows the life of South Pacific Islanders, with unique national handicrafts, restored Maori meeting place and daily necessities exhibition. The essence exhibition includes a 25 meter long battle boat. The second level is a natural science exhibition that includes information on the origin of the Earth, the origin of life, various animal and plant materials, and specimens. The third layer displays weapons and equipment used in the World Wars to commemorate the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in both wars.
