A: The Redwoods Treewalk is Rotorua's newest eco-tourism attraction. Utilizing environmentally friendly engineering, the walkway is suspended among the canopies of century-old redwood trees. The walkway consists of a series of suspension bridges and viewing platforms, with heights ranging from 6 to 12 meters. Carefully designed, the walkway is safe to traverse without the need for safety belts or gear and is suitable for all ages. The only requirement for participants is the ability to walk the entire length (553 meters) independently.

Q: How long does it take to complete the walk?
A: Visitors can take as long as they like to admire the unique scenery from the viewing platforms. If you wish to complete the entire walk, we suggest allowing at least 30 minutes.
Q: Is the Treewalk suitable for everyone?
A: Visitors need to have a certain level of physical fitness and be able to walk independently (including children) to participate. Carrying children on the walkway is prohibited throughout its entirety. The weight limit for this activity is 120 kilograms.

The Treewalk opens daily at 8:30 AM, and during the summer, it remains open until at least 6:00 PM.

A: Yes, the activity is actually quite suitable for rainy days, as the forest has an even more atmospheric and enchanting appearance in the rain. However, in the event of strong winds, severe thunderstorms, or lightning, we will close the Treewalk.
