FAQ about the project

Q: How long will I have free fall time?
A: The free fall time for a parachute with a height of 15000 feet (approximately 4500 meters) is 60 seconds
The free fall time for a parachute with a height of 12000 feet (approximately 3600 meters) is 45 seconds
The free fall time for a parachute with a height of 9000 feet (approximately 2700 meters) is 25 seconds
Q: How fast is the speed during free fall?
A: The maximum speed can reach 200 kilometers per hour!!
Q: What is the weight limit?
All individuals weighing 95 kilograms or more are required to undergo a Tandem Master assessment in the descent zone.
The minimum weight is 40 kilograms/88 pounds, and all passengers must be large enough to safely fit their seat belts.
Q: Is there a minimum or maximum age limit?
A: There is no age limit at all! We have carried 94 year old passengers to complete parachute jumps. Jumpers under the age of 18 must obtain the consent of their parents or guardians.
Q: How long is the flight time of the plane?
A: The flight time of an airplane depends on the flight altitude you choose. Starting from 15000 feet (approximately 4500 meters), flying to each altitude takes approximately 15 minutes.
Q: How long does the entire skydiving activity take?
A: In Queenstown, including the round-trip ride time from the town center, the entire skydiving activity takes 3 and a half hours.
Q: What type of aircraft are you using?
A: In Queenstown, we use two Cessna Grand Caravan planes,
Q: Can I board the same plane as my friend?
A: Our plane can carry up to 9 passengers at a time, so it is very likely to complete a parachute jump with friends on the same plane. There are many factors to consider when arranging passengers to board a plane, and we will try our best to arrange groups to board the same plane.
Q: Do I need to prepare anything special?
A: There are no items that require special preparation. Just wear shoes that won't fall out of the air and suitable clothing. In winter, we suggest wearing more layers of close fitting clothes, which is much more comfortable than just wearing a jacket.
Q: I usually need to wear glasses with a certain degree. Do I have to take off my glasses when parachuting?
A: No need, we will provide protective goggles suitable for fitting on the outside of the glasses.
Q: Can I parachute with contact lenses on?
A: Of course, but we suggest that you bring eye drops to prevent the contact lens from drying out.
Q: How to get to the skydiving ground?
A: In Queenstown, our gathering place is the Skydive Centre located in the center of Queenstown. We will pick up and drop off tourists to the parachute landing area at the gathering place, and after completing the jump, we will also send them back to the gathering place.
Q: Can I take my friends to watch my skydiving together?
A: If there are available seats on the bus, we can take your relatives and friends for free. But we cannot guarantee that there will be available seats, nor can we book seats for relatives and friends in advance, which depends on the passenger condition of the bus at that time. We welcome relatives and friends to drive to the skydiving venue to watch, and we will introduce them to the viewing locations. Basically, one parachutist is allowed to have one relative or friend watch, and the last round of parachuting every day cannot be watched by family or friends.
Q: What will be the arrangement if the weather is not suitable for skydiving on that day?
A: Due to the fact that skydiving is a sport that is particularly affected by weather, if we encounter weather that is not suitable for skydiving, we may cancel our original skydiving plan. We will try our best to reschedule the delayed skydiving to the next round. In the season of variable weather, we suggest that you arrange skydiving on the earliest date of your itinerary and reserve one day as a backup. If you are unable to schedule your next parachute jump, we will refund you the full amount.
Q: Can I bring my own camera on the plane?
A: Unfortunately, for safety and insurance reasons, it is not allowed to bring personal cameras and Go Pro extreme sports cameras onto the plane. Due to the extreme natural environment during parachuting, all of our photography equipment must be inspected before being carried onto the cabin. However, you can take photos on the ground before boarding. If you want to capture footage of skydiving, we provide professional photographers who can jump with you and help you take photos.
Q: Can I drive to the parachute landing area in Queenstown by myself?
A: Sure, but you still need to register with the Nzone Skydive Centre and receive a brief introduction beforehand. Afterwards, the staff will tell you the route to the parachute landing area.
Q: Do you provide insurance?
A: Unfortunately, we do not offer life insurance, but you will receive medical coverage under the New Zealand Accident and Injury Insurance (ACC). Some insurance companies offer insurance for two person skydiving.
Regulations for Children's Parachuting
Children need to be at least 40KG and 120CM to participate in skydiving.
